Excellent service by Consultant Jo

17 Aug 2018

I attended cruise show on Wed. Arranged through consultant Jo to book Emerald Cruise. Booking done, deposit paid but on checking Jo was told that the wrong price had been quoted and it was going to cost another £5000. Needless to say I didn’t proceed. She was really concerned about this and said she would pursue with her manager and ring me. 9.20 the next morning she called; she had referred; they went back to Emersld who were embarrassed by the error and agreed to honour the original price. Result one delighted customer. I want to commend Jo. She was so efficient dealing with booking and went that extra mile pursing the error because she saw how upset I was not to be able to afford the holiday which incidentally I had booked for myself and my 80 year old sister. I had even sent her photos of the cruise while Jo did the booking.

Helpful and knowledgeable but not pushy

17 Aug 2018

Searching for the right cruise and cabin taking the time to give us the best possible deal and giving advise on the ship and destination to suit us we travel with my sister who uses a single occupancy cabin and so it’s a double booking and we can’t always get the cabins together he took the time to give us several options and we were very glad he did . We have used ROL often and can say without hesitation we have never had a problem either in the booking tickets and solving any problems we might have . Thankyou for doing what many high street travel agents fail to do .

It could not have been better service

    Anchorage (Seward), Alaska

    05 Jun 2019

Seward was originally founded in 1903 as the southern terminus for the Alaska Railroad, a distinction it still holds today. The picturesque harbor with its colorful wood-frame houses and background of soaring cliffs looks out on Resurrection Bay, so named by a band of Russians explorers who found this calm spot along the storm-tossed Gulf of Alaska on Easter Sunday. From downtown Anchorage you can view two active volcanoes, the highest point on the continent of North America (Mount McKinley), and six major mountain ranges.

    Sitka, Alaska

    07 Jun 2019

Founded by Russian fur traders as New Archangel in 1799, Sitka was the historic center of Russia’s Alaskan empire. The Russian flag was replaced by the Stars and Stripes when the United States purchased the Alaska territory in 1867. Today, picturesque Sitka, is known for its fishing industry, an annual summer classical music festival and, of course, its many historic visitor attractions. On a clear day Sitka, the only city in southeast Alaska that actually fronts the Pacific Ocean, rivals Juneau for the sheer beauty of its surroundings.

  • Juneau, Alaska

    Day 4

    Juneau, Alaska

    08 Jun 2019

Migrating whales, rivers of ice and super fresh seafood capture the hearts of its visitors, although Alaska’s capital city also has a strong mining history. Once the sacred territory of the Auke and Taku tribes, Juneau was named after the gold prospector Joe Juneau.

    Skagway, Alaska

    09 Jun 2019

Skagua, as it is known by the Tlingit, means” windy place.” Skagway, a place of many names, and much history is the northern terminus of the Alaska Marine Highway. It was known to thousands of hopeful gold rushers as the gateway to the gold fields. Skagway retains the flavor of the gold rush era and the character of such colorful inhabitants as Soapy Smith “King of the Frontier Con Men”; especially on Broadway, with its false-front buildings, and in the Trail of ‘98 Museum, with its outstanding collection of gold fever memorabilia.

  • Ketchikan, Alaska

    Day 6

    Ketchikan, Alaska

    10 Jun 2019

Super-scenic Ketchikan sits on the edge of Revillagigedo Island, surrounded by the verdant Tongass National Forest. Its waters are rich with Pacific salmon, a fact which drew native Tlingit and industrial fishermen here, not to mention an abundance of wildlife. Black bears can often be seen catching fish from passing streams, while birds of prey soar over glacial mountains.
