Gerald was fantastic. He knew everything there was to know about our cruise. He answered all our questions and even raised some points and made some suggestions we hadn't thought of. (even though we are experienced cruisers) It was completely effortless. All emailed confirmations arrived within minutes and without a single mistake.

Not enough information

24 Sep 2018

He could have included the onboard spends infrmation on the email we asked about return coach fare and when I chescked it’s twice the price he quoted if we were hbooking now also it doesn’t state cabin no on the information we have received

A very satisfactory experience indeed

23 Sep 2018

Gerald was very helpful indeed, explained things well and thorough. He discussed with us the issue of the length of daylight on any one day, we had not thought of this. His comments helped us to decide upon which date we chose to travel in order to get the maximum benefit. We were connected to an Agent after only a very short time which is unusual these days. The different types of cabins etc were fully explained. The door was left open for us to call back if we had any queries. Overall a very satisfactory discussion, and so we booked.

last minute booking handled very well thanks

Overview

Soak up the delicious warmth of the late summer sun, as well as oodles of atmosphere and culture on this Mediterranean cruise. You’ll visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites and some hidden gems, and have plenty of time to explore ashore, with full days in every port. Fly to Valletta to join Oceana. Settle in as you sail to Naples - its historic centre UNESCO-listed; its museums, palaces and views jaw-dropping. Lose your heart to Rome and the lure of the Colosseum, Vatican, Trevi Fountain and Pantheon. Do as the Romans do and tuck into a wood-fired pizza, in a locals’ trattoria, with a full-bodied Lazio wine. Next stop, Ajaccio, and, if you didn’t know Napoleon was born here, you soon will! The main marketplace is right by the port, with lots of local craft goods (and endless Napoleon souvenirs). Finally, we arrive in Olbia (meaning ‘happy’) where you’ll find much to smile about too. The glorious sandy beaches are less crowded for a start, and its bustling historic centre is refreshingly authentic, packed with boutiques, bars and sun-dappled piazzas. Then, time to enjoy one more relaxing sea day while sailing to Valletta for your flight home.

Explore the imposing Duomo with its distinctive 13 th century cloister and the charming flower filled town. For a poignant taste of Roman history visit the ruins of Pompeii, a once prosperous city now frozen in time. Now it is preserved by the very thing that destroyed its flourishing civilisation, the ash of the mighty volcano, Vesuvius.

The Ship

Oceana is a mid-sized cruise ship with a particularly stunning atrium that creates a real ‘wow’. Her bars, restaurants, shops and lounges have been designed to flow seamlessly through the ship and this makes for a sociable and informal atmosphere with P&O Cruises. Oceana’s bars are a feature... There is Magnums – a lively Champagne bar, Winners’ - the funky midships bar and the Yacht and Compass – a traditional English pub. Oceana also has a dedicated nightclub. For dining, Oceana offers a choice when it comes to the main restaurants of both Club (fixed dining times) and Freedom dining (no fixed dining times). She also has several other restaurants to try; a bistro by Marco Pierre White and al fresco dining on deck at the Horizon Grill for great steaks and seafood. Oceana cruise ship has broad decks with 2 sparkling pools and 6 whirlpools to enjoy during the day and even has a sports court ingeniously housed in her funnel. The gym and spa are well appointed and within easy reach. Oceana’s welcoming and informal atmosphere makes her particularly popular with families.
