Georgie was excellent in looking into what we asked and at keeping us informed.

Cannot get downloads that require completion. Requested help but nothing

21 Jun 2018

Would like hard copies of everything instead of by email because cannot get or complete important downloads. These forms are required to fill in passport details/visa requests/concerning wi-fi/lg into Cruise Personaliser. I hope you can help.

    Vancouver, Canada

    16 Jun 2019

Widely regarded as one of the most beautiful spots on earth, it’s no wonder that Vancouver is a popular spot for tourists looking to enjoy some fresh air and vibrant Canadian culture.

    Day 3

    Ketchikan, Alaska

    18 Jun 2019

Super-scenic Ketchikan sits on the edge of Revillagigedo Island, surrounded by the verdant Tongass National Forest. Its waters are rich with Pacific salmon, a fact which drew native Tlingit and industrial fishermen here, not to mention an abundance of wildlife. Black bears can often be seen catching fish from passing streams, while birds of prey soar over glacial mountains.

  • Juneau, Alaska

    Day 4

    Juneau, Alaska

    19 Jun 2019

Migrating whales, rivers of ice and super fresh seafood capture the hearts of its visitors, although Alaska’s capital city also has a strong mining history. Once the sacred territory of the Auke and Taku tribes, Juneau was named after the gold prospector Joe Juneau.

    Destination guide
  • Skagway, Alaska

    Day 5

    Skagway, Alaska

    20 Jun 2019

The sidewalks are all but rolled up in Skagway come winter, so you can only imagine the frightful conditions endured by the gold prospectors who passed through en route to the Yukon, with a mandatory ton of supplies to be hauled with them over the steep and treacherous Trail of '98. Today, summertime visits to Skagway require nothing of the sort, but you can still ride the antique White Pass & Yukon narrow-gauge railway up through silvery-purple rock faces, past Deadhorse Gulch, to see what it was like back then. Take your time and poke into every little store from the Trail Bench to Lynch & Kennedy's Dry Goods. The Red Onion Saloon, with its honky tonk piano and costumed barmaids, is a treasure trove of memorabilia featuring pictures of Klondike Kate, Peahull Annie and other vintage characters. To complete the picture of those rip-roaring days, visit the nostalgic Trail of '98 Museum. The Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park boasts restored buildings and wooden boardwalks that invite you to take a stroll into the past.

    Day 8

    Seward (Anchorage)

    23 Jun 2019

Beautifully situated on Cook Inlet and surrounded by the Chugach Mountains, Anchorage offers fine restaurants and frontier saloons, museums and art galleries. Visit the Alaska Native Heritage Center, where village elders and apprentices demonstrate the time-honored customs and crafts of the various Native groups. Sample shore excursions: Kenai Guided Fishing; Prince William Sound Glacier Cruise; Redoubt Bay Flightseeing and Bear Viewing. Nearby, Kenai Fjords National Park's steep-sided, glacier-carved valleys give you an up-close look at abundant wildlife. Located on the southeast coast of Alaska's Kenai Peninsula, it is home to the Harding Ice Field, the largest entirely within U.S. borders. Watch for bald eagles, listen to the sounds of thousands of seabirds and share the waters with Stellar sea lions, harbor seals, Dall's porpoises, sea otters and whales. The gateway to the park is the historic town of Seward, whose quaint shops await exploration.

The Ship

The ms Westerdam is the third in Holland America Line's series of Vista-class ships. As such, she embraces the latest industry and environmental technologies such as her use of a diesel-electric power plant for optimal energy efficiency and an Azipod propulsion system. Most of her staterooms have ocean views and many have private verandahs. The theme of ms Westerdam's art collection is Dutch heritage in the New World. Art ranges from paintings of historic Dutch ships, such as Henry Hudson's Half Moon, to a huge Indian silver-overlaid wood palace doorway, a bone tobacco pipe carved in the shape of a woman's head to a collection of 5,000-year-old pre-Columbian carved limestone figures from Ecuador. Contemporary pieces include an original Andy Warhol portrait and signature sculptures by Sedona artist Susanna Holt.
