Helpful staff

25 Sep 2018

I spoke to two staff and found them very helpful offering good advice on cabins, and we were also offered a complimentary upgrade which meant we ended up with a better cabin than the one I was pricing up.

A very pleasant experience.

25 Sep 2018

The lady was very good at answering all my questions. Engaging and very friendly.

Very friendly and efficient

We spoke to Emily she was very friendly and it was a pleasure to deal with her and ROL.

Pre book Online

25 Sep 2018

The pre-booking service seems to be very oriented to phone booking which I dislike as I am generally travelling and use mobile phone. It also means much time is wasted while waiting on the phone. I would like it to be easier to book directly online. Post booking, the online back up service is excellent.

Thank you for your feedback, unfortunately, due to the availability continually changing on the Ships and all the different booking processes that are required for each individual cruise line, it makes it very difficult to operate an online booking system. I'm glad to hear though that the post-booking process online is excellent. Hope you have an excellent cruise

Stacey was most helpful and when we asked whether it was possible to add on an extra few days to our river cruise, she kindly contacted someone in the know and got back to us. Excellent service.

Excellent service

24 Sep 2018

This was the first time I had booked a cruise and a lady I had met recommended using ROL. When I rang a lady called Jo dealt with my booking. She was extremely patient and knowledgeable and really helped with a procedure that I knew nothing about.

    Venice, Italy

    06 Jul 2019 to 07 Jul 2019

With a maze of canals threaded through the city and hints of history to be found on every corner, it’s easy to see why Venice is considered one of the most beautiful and charming destinations in the world.

  • Koper

    Day 3

    Koper

    08 Jul 2019

A key commercial center with a Venetian past, Koper is Slovenia's only deep-water port. Stroll the narrow streets of the "old city" to the Praetorian Palace, which could easily be the setting of a Renaissance drama, sip a coffee in the square, then visit the Cathedral of St. Nazarius, the largest in Slovenia.

  • Sibenik

    Sibenik

    09 Jul 2019

  • Dubrovnik, Croatia

    Day 5

    Dubrovnik, Croatia

    10 Jul 2019

To visit Dubrovnik is to step back in time to the Middle Ages. The town is one massive museum, its thick walls constructed from the 13th to the 17th century encircle the entire city, and contain within them a treasure trove of striking architecture – squares, fountains, palaces, churches, and monasteries, all built from the same stone, line streets free of motor vehicles. Once the only city-state on the Adriatic to rival Venice, Dubrovnik has long been a center for Croatian culture, and home to artists and scholars of all disciplines. It is possible to circumnavigate the city atop the medieval walls.

    Day 6

    Kotor

    11 Jul 2019

On the western coast of Montenegro, tucked away from the Adriatic Sea, is the ancient town of Kotor. Beyond its snaking stone walls, this fortified city offers a charming glimpse back in time.

    Day 8

    Valletta, Malta

    13 Jul 2019

Lined with Baroque buildings and enclosed within its sixteenth century city walls, it’s almost as if time stands still in Valletta. With 7,000 years of history just waiting to be discovered, the Maltese capital is a dream to explore.

  • Trapani, Sicily

    Day 9

    Trapani, Sicily

    14 Jul 2019

Few reminders still exist of Trapani’s ancient history, but from Phoenician days it was a trading port, well positioned for commerce with Africa, Naples, and the western Mediterranean. The Middle Ages is the era most evident in its old town, now a pedestrian zone. Aging palaces, some imposing and others in various stages of decay, cluster along a peninsula stretching into the bay. Worthy of note is the ominously named Chiesa del Purgatorio, home to wooden statues known as Misteri, that are paraded through the streets on Good Friday. Further out are saltpans, and plains punctuated by medieval windmills, home to some 170 species of birds.

  • Amalfi, Italy

    Day 10

    Amalfi, Italy

    15 Jul 2019

Renowned for its sheer cliffs and striking beauty, the town of Amalfi on the Gulf of Salerno is known for its photographic splendor and its close proximity to Sorrento, Positano and Isle of Capri. This enviable area of Italy also produces the most beautiful handmade paper. For a most interesting afternoon, take a tour the Museo della Carta, the paper museum, and take home the most beautiful souvenirs. Amalfi is also the burial place of Saint Andrew; the town's cathedral is named in his honor.

  • Sorrento, Italy

    Day 11

    Sorrento, Italy

    16 Jul 2019

Italy is one of the most popular destinations in the Mediterranean. Each city has its own unique character and Sorrento is a town certainly worth visiting.

    Day 12

    Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy

    17 Jul 2019

Rome has something special to offer to all visitors, no matter their interests and tastes. Whether you daydream about fighting with gladiators in the Coliseum, debating with togaed senators in the Forum, tossing a coin in a fabled fountain, or being awestruck by the magnificence of St Peter’s Basilica and Michelangelo’s masterpieces, Rome seems to live up to its sobriquet – the Eternal City. When you need sustenance, today’s Rome will provide delizioso pasta e vino. Or perhaps you draw strength from a little retail therapy – the Italians are also renowned for their sense of style.
