Cunard partners with Harper’s Bazaar

Cunard has partnered with Harper’s Bazaar to curate exclusive wellness programmes for Queen Anne

Published on 25 Jan 2024

Cunard has joined forces with Harper’s Bazaar UK, an iconic fashion and beauty magazine, to craft an all-encompassing wellness programme exclusively for Queen Anne’s passengers. The collaboration has given birth to the Harper’s Bazaar Wellness at Sea initiative, offering three lavish spa packages: Detox, Energise and Relax. These three-day programs, available for an additional fee of US$629, feature a range of spa treatments, ELEMIS products and nutritionally balanced dining options from Queen Anne’s The Pavilion Wellness Café.

The Harper’s Bazaar Detox Journey focuses on reviving and restoring clean living habits, with treatments such as cyro-body detox and body sculpting. The Harper’s Bazaar Energise Journey empowers guests through mindful eating, massage and movement, including a bamboo massage. Lastly, the Harper’s Bazaar Relax Journey includes soothing treatments like a restorative salt stone massage, designed to reset the nervous system. Each package also includes a selection of ELEMIS products.

This partnership marks the next exciting chapter in Cunard’s award-winning wellness and enrichment offerings. Queen Anne is set to feature the most extensive selection of fitness, beauty, thermal and spa facilities ever seen on a Cunard ship.

Queen Anne’s wellness program, known as Mareel Wellness & Beauty, aims to provide enriching wellness experiences that leave guests feeling radiant from the inside out. One standout feature is The Pavilion, an open-air oasis on the top deck, complete with a retractable glass dome roof. Designed by David Collins Studio, this multi-purpose space houses the Wellness Studio, ideal for fitness enthusiasts, as well as The Pavilion Wellness Café, offering a colourful array of seasonal, nutritious dishes.

Architect Martin Francis, known for his work on the Louvre Pyramid in Paris, led the redesign of the glass dome, maximising height and light. The ship’s spa sanctuary is where guests can indulge in a range of experiences, from cryo-body treatments to Himalayan salt saunas and cold rooms, all designed to renew their mind, body and soul.

The Pavilion Wellness Café will serve breakfast, lunch and daytime meals, highlighting plant-powered foods and sustainable meat, dairy and fish options. Queen Anne will also offer the widest selection of low and no-alcohol drinks ever found on a Cunard ship, with The Pavilion Wellness Café featuring a variety of feel-food smoothies, shots and cold-pressed juices.

Katie McAlister, President of Cunard, expressed excitement about the partnership with Harper’s Bazaar UK, emphasising wellness as a crucial aspect of modern luxury ocean travel. She highlighted the program’s luxurious treatments, specialist masterclasses and personalised health guides, making wellness an integral part of the Queen Anne experience.

Sharon Davies-Ridgeway, Luxury Portfolio Director at Hearst UK, praised the collaboration and the carefully curated Harper’s Bazaar Wellness at Sea proposition. Each program is designed to enhance skin, body and mind, offering passengers the ultimate wellbeing escape. The Harper’s Bazaar Wellness at Sea packages are now available for booking on MyCunard and can also be reserved onboard.
