The moment we’ve all been waiting for

The UK Government has announced a return to cruising with domestic travel

Published on 27 Apr 2021

As the sun warms your skin and a gentle breeze tousles your hair, you take a sip of your cocktail while looking out at the vast expanse of sea and think, “ahhh, this is the moment I’ve been waiting for!”

Cruises are BACK! As of 23rd April 2021, the Government's advice on domestic travel has changed. From 17th May 2021, domestic cruises will be permitted in England with up to 1,000 passengers or 50% capacity, whichever is lowest.

Over the last few weeks, many of our cruise line partners have shared their plans for a 2021 return to cruise such as Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines who announced their 2021 staycation cruises aboard their newest ships Bolette and Borealis, Saga who released details of their brand-new summer cruises, Princess Cruises who launched their Summer Seacations and Celebrity Cruises who announced their long-anticipated return. This latest Government announcement is the cherry on top of lots of positive news and we can’t wait to get back to doing what we love!

Reasons to book a 2021 cruise

As the world begins to reopen, we understand you may have concerns about returning to cruising. Cruise lines have been working exceptionally hard to ensure the experience is as safe as it can possibly be. Here are a few reasons to book a 2021 cruise:

Enhanced onboard health and safety protocols

The health and well-being of passengers and crew remain the top priority for the cruise industry (an industry that has always had the most stringent safety and hygiene standards in place). By working closely with the UK Chamber of Shipping and the Cruise Lines International Association, cruise lines have updated their safety measures to ensure protocols have been elevated. Thus making the onboard experience safer than ever.

Flexible cancellation policies

Many of our cruise partners have introduced temporary Flexible Cancellation Policies. These policies are designed to give you more confidence when booking your future cruise. Should you change your mind, you’ll have the option to reschedule your cruise to a later date.

Getting back to what you love

The first sip of a cold glass of wine, the first bite of a delicious lunch, the first dip in the bubbling hot tub, the moment the lights hit the stage for the first time. These are all things you’ll be able to enjoy on your favourite ship. Booking a cruise for 2021 will allow you to get back to what you love after an extended (and much unwanted) break.

Something to look forward to

Last but certainly not least, booking a cruise for 2021 will provide you with something to look forward to. The last year has been hard on us all, what better way to cheer yourself up than making your cruise dream a reality?
