The port of Southampton has five cruise terminals. While you’ll receive confirmation of your departure terminal closer to sailing, it’s helpful to know which lines commonly use which terminal.

One of the biggest advantages of cruising from Southampton is how well connected it is by road. Wherever you’re travelling from in England, major motorways lead you almost directly to the port.
If you’re travelling from cities like Manchester, Leeds or Birmingham, the M6 and M40 connect easily to the M3, which takes you straight into Southampton. The journey is generally straightforward motorway driving for most of the route.
For those travelling from the South Coast, Dorset or Devon, the A31 and M27 provide direct access to Southampton.
Coming from London, Essex or Kent? The M3 is your most direct route from the capital, while the M25 connects efficiently to the M3 for travellers further east.
If you’re travelling from Bristol, Bath or South Wales, the M4 connects to the M3, making the journey simple and well signposted.

Southampton Central Station is the main rail hub and is around 10 to 15 minutes by taxi from the cruise terminals. Direct trains run from London Waterloo in approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes, with connections from Birmingham, Manchester, and other major cities.
National Express operates services to Southampton Coach Station, which is centrally located and a short taxi ride from the port.
