Today, Silversea’s new ultra-luxury cruise ship, Silver Moon, touched water for the first time at Fincantieri Shipyard in Ancona, Italy. The float out was marked by a celebratory event and a traditional coin ceremony, held in the presence of top-level representatives from Silversea and Fincantieri.

Silver Moon’s maiden voyage between Trieste and Rome departs on the 6th of August 2020. Maintaining the small-ship intimacy and spacious all-suite accommodation, Silver Moon will accommodate 596 passengers. With enhanced design specifications and enriched content, she will continue building on the sophisticated, innovative style and ground-breaking concept for which Silversea ships are renowned. Following her maiden voyage, Silver Moon will cross to the Americas in November before circumnavigating South America on the Grand South America 2021, visiting 37 destinations in 20 countries between 7th January and 17th March 2021.
