Queen Anne’s construction began in autumn 2019 at Fincantieri’s Castellammare di Stabia shipyard. Sam Shendi, an Egyptian-born, British contemporary sculptor, specialising in industrial material, will be crafting an original sculpture commissioned by Cunard featuring the first piece of metal cut for Queen Anne.

The design team behind Queen Anne consists of a very talented team who are specialists in their fields and have all been involved in creating interiors of some of the most well known resorts, restaurants and stores in the world. With a focus on lighting and colour to create atmospheres across Queen Anne, the designers looked to the past for inspiration to combine the golden age of travel and contemporary design.
Simon Rawlings is the creative director of the award-winning David Collins Studio, famous for creating the interior in the Wolseley restaurant in London and iconic store interiors for Jimmy Choo and Alexander McQueen. Simon and his team will be designing Queen Anne’s show-stopping atrium, the Queens Grill Suites, the Main Dining Room and the Grand Lobby.
Regarded as one of the world’s most talented designers, Adam D Tihany, has created beautiful spaces across the globe. Restaurants, resorts and hotels such as The Beverly Hills Hotel and The Oberoi New Delhi, he is hoping to capture the spirit of Cunard in Queen Anne’s design.
With 25 years experience in creating bespoke interiors for opulent private homes and world-famous hotels, legendary French interior architect Sybille de Margerie and her team will be designing Queen Anne’s spa, retail spaces and the Queen’s Room, the flagship event space.
A renowned name in hospitality since 1966, Terry Mc Gillicuddy of Richmond International will be heading the team that will design the theatre, new and exhilarating entertainment areas and the outside deck space aboard Queen Anne, having been behind the Waldorf Astoria and the iconic Sandy Lane in Barbados.

With the classic Cunard Red Funnel, 15 restaurants on board Queen Anne and classic Cunard spaces reimagined to reflect the modern era and inspiration taken from the past Cunard fleet, Queen Anne is set to be an exciting, glamourous and much anticipated addition to the fleet.
