This morning, don an apron to become an Italian chef for a day. Attend a cooking class and learn how to prepare a sumptuous Italian lunch. Judge the results of your fruitful morning by sitting around a table enjoying this meal with your fellow “master chefs.”
Free time in the afternoon to discover the fascinating city of Rome (B,L)
Leave Rome this morning to reach the lively Sorrento coast. On the way, visit a family-run vineyard, set at the foot of Mount Vesuvius, and indulge in an included local lunch of local specialties, complete with wine pairing (B,L,D)
This morning, join the walking orientation of the town center, and learn about authentic gelato. There will be a demonstration of how ice cream and sorbet are prepared, and some hints on how to make it at home. You will, of course, have the opportunity to taste some of the many varieties available in a typical family-owned shop. Or add some color to your diet this evening with an optional visit to a local farm where giant lemons, bright red tomatoes, and other fresh produce grown on site are used to prepare your dinner of Sorrentine specialties – made with love as the main ingredient! (B)
This morning, set off to discover the spectacular Amalfi coast, a winding coast with many clifftop villages and unbeatable views. Stop in the popular jet-set destination of Positano, a pastel-hued cascade of chic boutiques and sun-kissed sunbathers.
Later, take a short ferry ride to legendary Capri. Enjoy free time to relax and enjoy this spectacular island on your own. Tonight, after the included dinner, you will be served Torta Caprese for dessert. The chef will explain how this special cake is made, and you will be able to “steal” the personal recipe (B,D)
This is another day for you to take advantage of the unique beauty of Capri at leisure or to discover its treasures and traditions. When life gives you lemons, taste Limoncello and other citrus specialties in Capri Town’s piazzetta as part of your optional island boat tour on the clear waters off Capri where massive rock formations (Faraglioni) rise from the sea (B)
Say goodbye to Capri and board a ferry to Naples. Naples is the capital of espresso coffee and pizza, among many other delicacies. This morning you’ll have the opportunity to see the main highlights of this lively city in the company of a Local Guide.
After the sightseeing tour, indulge in an included authentic Neapolitan pizza lunch at a local pizzeria. Say arrivederci to bustling Naples and drive back to Rome. Enjoy some time sightseeing on your own to discover some hidden treasures of the capital city of Italy, and perhaps some more of its signature gourmet specialties (B,L)
