After a pleasant night’s sleep, I was looking forward to a delicious breakfast which is available as a buffet in La Terrazza, a la carte in Atlantide or even available in your suite with 24 hour in-suite dining. I chose to discover the buffet which offered a range of hot foods, breads, pastries, cereal and fresh fruit – you could even order pancakes, omelettes and eggs to order just the way you like them. It was sumptuous and the perfect start to the day.
With so many areas to explore, I didn't want to miss a thing so joined an organised tour. There are public areas across eight decks from restaurants to bars, the Show Lounge, Spa, swimming pool and much more. I was surprised how spacious the ship was and no area was ever crowded.
My top tip is to visit Kaiseki for lunch where you can enjoy complimentary sushi! If you enjoy tapas, then Silver Note is for you. Serving a range of dishes and drinks to the background of live jazz musicians, it’s the ideal place to spend the evening.
My favourite area was the Arts Café: similar to a High Street coffee shop, serving a range of hot drinks, healthy fruit smoothies, cakes and other nibbles. You could easily drift away in here for hours curled up with a good book.
The swimming pool on deck 10 looked so inviting and offers a place to cool off during a day sunbathing on the plentiful loungers. Here you'll find attentive staff ready to bring you your favourite drink whilst you soak up the sun and if you get hungry then the outdoor grill means you can enjoy the fresh sea air whilst savouring a delicious lunch.
If you're looking for a quiet spot then Tor's Observation Library is the ideal place. Located at the front of the ship, the large windows provide stunning panoramic views as you sail. This area was another of my favourite places on the ship and well worth spending time just enjoying the vistas as you sail.
After all that exploring, it was time for lunch and since it was a beautifully warm day, I dined at the Grill enjoying a juicy burger followed by a sundae which was too tempting to resist. In the evening, the Grill is transformed into Hot Rocks, a unique dining experience inviting guests to cook their food directly at their table on a lava stone volcanic rock. Place your meat, fish or vegetables on top of the grill stone and cook it just the way you like it.
During the afternoon, there was a range of entertainment including games with the Cruise Director, live music, a culinary demonstration or you could just lounge by the pool. I'd already decided to visit the Zagara Spa for a heavenly massage. The spa is divine with a large number of treatment rooms, steam room, sauna, whirlpool, relaxation area and gym. I highly recommend the Muse Freestyle treatment which is Silversea's take on the classic Swedish massage – the perfect way to unwind.
After my treatment, I headed to my Deluxe Veranda Suite to make the most of the luxurious amenities. The terrace was spacious and the perfect spot for enjoying breakfast with 24-hour in suite dining available and brought to you by your butler.
There are two TVs so you can watch in the sitting area or in bed with each elegantly positioned within the walled mirror. The interactive media library offers a range of TV channels and movies so you can spend some time just relaxing in your opulent surroundings. The bed is plush and inviting with fine Pratesi linens and a pillow menu – so you're guaranteed a very good night’s sleep.
The Panorama Lounge is the ideal spot for a pre- or post-dinner cocktail with live music, so you can dance the night away. Located at the rear of the ship, this contemporary and spacious area even has an outdoor terrace which is perfect for watching the sunset over drinks. My drink of choice was a Cosmopolitan, made to perfection.
Tonight, I was dining in Atlantide: the seafood and grill restaurant. With five courses to choose from you'll be spoilt for choice with a range of meat and fish dishes for starters and mains, soups and salads. I opted for the Argentine steak which was the best I've tasted! I highly recommend a visit here for lunch and dinner so you can enjoy the range of cuisine as deciding what to order was the hardest part of the day.
The Venetian Lounge hosts the evening entertainment ranging from singers to Broadway-style shows and this evening The Voices of Silversea were performing. I thoroughly enjoyed watching 'Argento' in which they performed tunes of the great bandleaders such as Benny Goodman and the foot tapping sounds of Louis Prima.
My day of ultra-luxury had come to an end and it was time to retire to my beautiful suite. Silver Muse offers the epitome of luxury and those sailing on her maiden season will not be disappointed.
