Cunard new ship

2022 will be an exceptionally exciting year for Cunard with the introduction of a brand-new ship to the fleet for the first time in 12 years! This will be Cunard’s 249th vessel to sail under the Cunard name and Adam D Tihany has been appointed as Creative Director.

Although, the name of the ship is yet to be announced there has been a lot of excitement over the news that Tihany will oversee the entire interior design process. What is to be anticipated is unknown, but his works can usually be found in luxurious hotels, restaurants and resorts across the globe, including The Beverly Hills Hotel, Belmond Hotel Cipriani and the Oberoi New Delhi.

Tihany has commented “The name Cunard is obviously magical and I’m very excited to be involved in this project,” says. “If you look at the history of Cunard, it has always been a forward-looking brand. It has a classic image but actually each ship has been innovative for its period. We want to continue this tradition and move the brand forward with the creation of an exciting and spectacularly beautiful new cruise liner.”

Tihany has promised to deliver several surprises in his works, with a light contemporary feel that will still hold on to the brands values so previous guests will still feel at home. His team will be delivering some stunning ideas and concepts and we cannot wait to hear more news and see the concept come to life.
