This seven night post-cruise land tour takes you on an immersive journey through some of China’s most iconic destinations, beginning in Chengdu and ending in Beijing. After arriving in Chengdu, home of China's beloved giant pandas you will have the rest of the day to explore this futuristic city which blends tradition perfectly with the modern. You'll visit both the Chengdu Panda Research Base and the Dujiangyan Panda Base, learning about panda conservation while seeing these remarkable animals up close. Alongside the wildlife experiences, you'll enjoy local cultural highlights such as Jinli Street, an authentic Sichuan hot pot dinner, and a traditional face-changing performance.
Travelling by China's high-speed bullet train network, you'll journey to Xi'an, where the world-famous Terracotta Army awaits. Here you'll discover thousands of life-sized ancient warriors and gain insight into the craftsmanship behind their recreation. The evening includes a traditional dumpling banquet and Tang Dynasty show before continuing onwards to Beijing. In Beijing, you'll explore some of China's most celebrated landmarks, including Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace, and the Great Wall at Juyonguan. Additional visits include the Ming Tombs, the Sacred Way, and a jade factory, while an evening acrobatic performance provides a memorable finale to the tour.
