The capital of The Bahamas packs a punch

ROL Cruise recommends…

Visit Blue Lagoon Island

Just north of Nassau’s main island, New Providence, is Blue Lagoon Island. An idyllic paradise with white sand beaches and palm trees, many journey here to cross off their bucket list activity of swimming with dolphins. As well as dolphins there are stingray experiences sealion experiences and more.

Enjoy local food at ‘Fish Fry’

Not too far from the port is Arawak Cay, locally known as ‘Fish Fry’. Filled with conch stands, jerk joints, seafood restaurants and bars this is the ideal place to try some of the local cuisine and mix with the local culture. With live bands and DJs, as well as dances, there is always something going on here. If you aren’t sure where to start, we recommend you pick the stall with the longest line.

A romantic haven for couples

For couples looking for a romantic destination, Nassau offers everything you would need. White sand beaches, bright blue seas, amazing walks and hikes plus rich culture. Head inland to explore some of the beautiful lakes which are perfect for hikes or stick to the coastline for a relaxing day by the sea.

Explore the underwater fauna with Stuart Cove’s

If scuba diving is for you then Stuart Cove’s in the South West Bay are the island favourites for water exploration. With a range of trips including scuba diving and shark dives, come here to face your fears, or just get a little closer to what lies beneath.
