Casablanca is home to Morocco’s largest mosque, the incredible Hassan II Mosque. The mosque is the 7th largest in the world, with the mosque’s minaret being the tallest in the world. Open to Muslims and non-Muslims alike, wander the galleries of this sacred place of worship and marvel at its grand interiors and tile work, water features and impressive retractable roof.
West of Hassan II Mosque, La Corniche is part of the Ain Diab neighbourhood known for its glamorous beach clubs, surf scene and nightlife. Walk along palm-tree lined streets and take in the fresh sea air before dining at trendy sea-facing bar terraces and cafes. If you’re looking for luxury, there are plenty of French fine dining options to discover.
Learn more about Morocco’s intriguing Jewish history at the only Judaism-devoted museum in the Arab world. Discover old Jewish and Berber artefacts, including jewellery, Fatima pendants costumes and more. Visitors can even view a reconstructed jewellery-making shop using old tools and a workbench.
Downtown Casablanca is home to ultra-modern infrastructures teeming with boutiques and retailers selling the biggest brands of jewellery, cosmetics and clothes. For a shopping trip like no other, head to Europe’s biggest shopping mall, the Morocco Mall, where you can explore 750,000 square feet of shops as well a musical fountain, aquarium and 3D movie theatre.
