What to see in Ibiza

Ibiza, the Mediterranean's party capital, is an island of contrasts. While it's famous for its vibrant nightlife and world-renowned DJs, it also offers serene beaches, crystal-clear waters, and charming villages. The island's unique blend of hedonism and natural beauty creates an irresistible allure for visitors of all interests.

Ibiza’s port is a gateway to the enchanting world of Dalt Vila, the island's historic old town and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Nestled on a hill overlooking the Mediterranean, Dalt Vila transports visitors back in time with its ancient stone walls, winding cobblestone streets and breathtaking views. Begin your journey at the Portal de Ses Taules, the main entrance to Dalt Vila, where a drawbridge leads you into a world of rich history and cultural heritage. As you walk through the narrow streets, you'll encounter charming shops, boutiques and cafes, perfect for leisurely exploration and souvenir shopping.

After immersing yourself in the historical riches of Dalt Vila, venture to the nearby beaches of Talamanca and Figueretas, both conveniently located near Ibiza port. These coastal stretches offer a tranquil contrast to the vibrant nightlife for which the island is known. Talamanca Beach is a beautiful crescent of golden sand gently sloping into the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean. Its calm and shallow shores make it an ideal spot for swimming and sunbathing. The beach is lined with restaurants and beach clubs, where you can savour fresh seafood and Mediterranean cuisine while enjoying the sea breeze.

Ibiza is known for its bohemian spirit and counterculture influences, and you can experience this unique aspect of the island by exploring its famous hippy markets. Two of the most renowned markets are located near Ibiza port: the Punta Arabí Hippy Market in Es Canar and the Las Dalias Hippy Market in San Carlos. The Punta Arabí Hippy Market, held every Wednesday in Es Canar, is one of the largest and oldest markets of its kind in Ibiza. Stroll through a labyrinth of stalls where you'll find an eclectic mix of artisan crafts, clothing, jewellery and handmade souvenirs. Live music and vibrant colours create a festive atmosphere, and you can enjoy a meal or refreshing drink from one of the market's eateries.
