Travelmarvel Vega is a contemporary European river ship that joined the Travelmarvel fleet in 2021, bringing a fresh and modern approach to cruising some of the continent’s most iconic waterways. She is designed for travellers who enjoy scenic journeys, lively onboard social areas and sunny deck space (which is perfect for soaking up the ever-changing river views as you glide from one destination to the next). Throughout the year, Travelmarvel Vega sails Europe’s great rivers, including the Danube, Rhine and Main, connecting cultural cities and charming riverside towns in a way that only a river cruise can.
Travelmarvel Vega’s cabins are comfortable, practical and easy to unwind in after a day ashore. Whichever category you choose, you can expect an en-suite bathroom, personal climate control, good storage, a queen or twin bed dressed with plush linen, plus handy in-cabin essentials including a television, safe and mini fridge.
Window Staterooms are a great option if you’re looking for a comfortable base and prefer to keep things simple. Set on the Lower Deck, they offer a calm, cosy space with a window for natural light and passing river views, along with the same thoughtful in-room comforts found across the ship - the kind of cabin you’ll appreciate returning to after sightseeing.
If you want to feel even more connected to the scenery, French Balcony Staterooms add that extra sense of openness that suits a river itinerary perfectly. In addition to standard cabin features, these staterooms include electronic windows that slide down to create a French balcony, so you can enjoy fresh air and watch the world drift by from the comfort of your room.
For the most spacious stay on board, Owner’s Suites are the top tier. Alongside all the usual in-cabin amenities, they also include blackout blinds and those same electronic slide-down windows that form a French balcony - ideal if you like a little more privacy, a little more space, and a cabin that feels like a real retreat at the end of the day.
Life on board Travelmarvel Vega is all about embracing the easy pace of river cruising, with plenty of inviting spaces to relax in between ports. During the day, you can settle into one of the ship’s social lounges, enjoy the ever-changing scenery through the panoramic windows, or simply take a quiet moment with a book as the river carries you from one destination to the next.
A favourite spot for many guests is the True North Lounge on the Upper Deck. It’s a bright and comfortable space at the front of the ship where the views take centre stage. It’s the perfect place to spend time during scenic cruising, whether you’re catching up with fellow travellers or simply watching the landscape drift by.
You’ll also find a shop on board, ideal for picking up little essentials, souvenirs, or a few holiday treats along the way - a handy addition for those moments when you’d rather stay on board than head out.
In the evenings, the atmosphere remains relaxed and sociable, with entertainment that suits the intimate feel of river cruising. Expect low-key live music and performances, along with plenty of opportunities to unwind, chat and enjoy the company of your fellow guests as the day comes to a close.
Dining on board Travelmarvel Vega is relaxed, sociable and centred around fresh flavours inspired by the regions you’re sailing through.
Located on the Main Deck, Constellations Restaurant is the ship’s main dining option. This is where guests gather for beautifully presented meals in a welcoming, open setting. Expect a menu that combines international favourites with locally inspired dishes, all served in a comfortable atmosphere that makes every mealtime feel unhurried and enjoyable.
Up on the Upper Deck, McGeary’s Bar offers a more intimate setting for a pre-dinner drink or a relaxed nightcap. With its cosy feel and classic bar ambience, it’s a lovely spot to unwind after a day ashore, share stories with fellow travellers and settle into the easy rhythm of river life.
Also on the Upper Deck, the True North Lounge is a bright, panoramic space where the views take centre stage. During the day, it’s ideal for enjoying a drink while watching the scenery glide past, and in the evenings it becomes a sociable hub with a relaxed atmosphere - the perfect setting to round off the day.
For something a little more open-air, the Alfresco Lounge offers a casual outdoor space where you can enjoy a drink while taking in the fresh air and river views. It’s particularly inviting during warmer sailings, when the gentle movement of the ship and the passing landscapes make for an enjoyable experience.
Travelmarvel Vega makes it easy to unwind between ports, with inviting open-air spaces and quiet corners designed for you to take things at your own pace.
Up on the Sun Deck, the Outdoor Sitting Area is a lovely place to settle in with a book, enjoy the fresh air or simply watch the scenery unfold. With uninterrupted river views and plenty of space to relax, it’s often one of the most peaceful spots on board - especially during scenic cruising.
Also on the Sun Deck, you’ll find a Whirlpool, perfect for soaking while the ship glides gently towards its next destination. It’s a simple pleasure, but one that feels wonderfully indulgent when paired with wide-open skies and passing landscapes.
For something a little different, the Sunken Terrace & Garden Area offers a sheltered outdoor retreat. This thoughtfully designed space provides a quieter setting to unwind, combining fresh air with a more tucked-away atmosphere, ideal if you’re looking for a moment of calm away from the main lounge areas.
Down on the Lower Deck, the ship’s fitness area allows you to maintain your routine while travelling. Compact yet well-equipped, it offers everything you need for a light workout before heading ashore or to energise yourself for the day ahead.
Travelmarvel Vega sails some of Europe’s most iconic routes, including the Danube, plus itineraries that take in the Rhine, Main and Moselle - linking historic cities with smaller riverside towns you’d likely never reach any other way.
