In 2020, Celebrity Apex will become the newest ship to join the Edge Series alongside her sister ship Celebrity Edge. Boasting a wealth of at-sea firsts, including Edge Staterooms with an Infinite Balcony and twin level Edge Villas with outdoor plunge pools, along with the floating ‘Magic Carpet’ and two “martini glass” Jacuzzis, the Edge-class ships will be leaving the future behind.
Celebrity Apex will cater to 2,900 passengers, making her much larger than Celebrity’s Millennium-class ships but smaller than their Solstice Class ships. She will have an incredible 14 passenger decks, 29 mouth-watering restaurants and a truly contemporary theatre with 16 synchronised projectors.
Modern-Luxury Staterooms like never before
Aboard Celebrity Apex you will find luxury accommodation that has never been seen before at sea except on her sister ship, Celebrity Edge. You will also see a first for Celebrity Cruises, with them offering 16 staterooms specifically for solo travellers. If you’re choosing to stay in one of the 918 Infinite Veranda Staterooms you will have the luxury of enjoying a balcony that is part of the overall stateroom, thanks to bi-folding doors and full height windows.
The Suite Class Most Suites feature separate sleeping areas, and all include Suite Class private dining, exclusive lounge, private sundeck and pool, a personal butler, plus so much more. Enjoy the one-of-a-kind Iconic Suites and Edge Villa Suites, designed exclusively for Celebrity Cruises’ Edge Class ships, plus the Penthouse, Royal, Celebrity, and Sky Suites. For another first, the Edge Villa offers two storeys at 739 square feet with an elevated master bedroom, large living space, two bathrooms and a private plunge pool. There will be six Edge Villas aboard Celebrity Apex and they will span across decks 14 and 15.
The ‘Magic Carpet’
When it comes to extraordinary venues, Celebrity Apex has the edge with the outward-facing vision, Magic Carpet. Reaching heights of 13 storeys above sea level, it is the world’s first cantilevered, floating platform. Designed with comfortable seating, a full bar, and space for live music performances, this spectacular space opens to several decks and transforms into a new and exciting venue depending on where it’s positioned.
Dine like a Celebrity
on board Celebrity Apex will be a voyage in itself and you will have plenty of choice with 29 restaurants,cafés, bars, and lounges. Enjoy an incredible palate-pleasing collection of menus inspired by the destinations you visit, and visionary recipes created by Michelin-starred chef Cornelius Gallagher. You will find four main complimentary restaurants on board, including the Tuscan restaurant, the Cyprus restaurant, the Normandie restaurant and the Cosmopolitan restaurant. You can still choose traditional early or late seating for your dining times, which allows you to enjoy dinner at the same table with the same waiter every evening. You’ll be assigned one of the four main dining restaurants, while having the option to dine in the other three upon request.
There's also find seven speciality dining venues, offering melt-in-the-mouth cuisine and the finest wines. Take a visit to Raw on 5, an Edge Class seafood speciality restaurant which is full of an array of delicacies from the sea. At the entrance, you’ll be greeted by a dramatic raw bar display showcasing an abundance of fresh seafood, including oysters, crab, and lobsters. Inside, you’ll see the sushi chef creating mouth-watering bites, fresh sashimi, caviar; plus, enjoy an incredible selection of champagnes. You can also visit Raw on 5 on the ‘Magic Carpet’, where it becomes an open-air casual seafood restaurant, offering unique items on the menu such as Alaskan California Maki Roll, Lobster Rolls, Tuna Nicoise Salad and Popcorn Shrimp.
