Since joining Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines in 2020, Borealis has become a firm favourite among guests who enjoy a relaxed, traditional cruise experience. Sailing from UK ports to scenic European coastlines and further afield, she combines elegant surroundings with the welcoming atmosphere the Olsen family is known for.

Public spaces:

• Forward on Deck 1 is the Medical Centre. 
• There are three lifts, two of which travel up to Deck 9, while one reaches Deck 8 only. 

Cabins: 

• There are 142 cabins on Deck 1: 65 category D Ocean View staterooms, 43 category E Ocean View staterooms, 12 category F Ocean View staterooms, 9 category H Interior staterooms, 14 category I Interior staterooms, 5 category K Single Ocean View staterooms and 3 category N Single Interior staterooms. 

Public spaces:

• The Laundry Room is open to passengers from 8 am to 8 pm. 

Cabins: 

• There are 209 cabins on Deck 2: 76 B category Superior Ocean View staterooms, 18 category D Ocean View staterooms, 29 category E Ocean View staterooms, 10 category F Ocean View staterooms, 21 category H Interior staterooms, 21 category H Interior staterooms, 40 category I Interior staterooms, 8 category K Single Ocean View staterooms and 7 category N Single Interior staterooms. 

Public spaces:

• At the forward of Deck 3, there is access to Forecastle.

• There are 127 cabins on Deck 3: 65 category C Superior Ocean View staterooms, 7 category G Superior Interior staterooms, 5 category I Interior staterooms, 6 category K Single Ocean View staterooms, 5 category M Single Superior Interior staterooms and 39 category TC Terrace Cabins. 

Public spaces:

• Forecastle is an observation area forward on Deck 4. 
• The Neptune Lounge is Borealis’ two-tiered entertainment venue featuring talented artists who take to the stage with performances to remember. Comedians, singers and magicians also captivate here. 
• The Photo Gallery is where you’ll find professional, high-quality photos taken by the onboard team throughout your cruise. 
• Located in the main atrium is Guest Services. Here, the team provides assistance with general enquiries. Just next door is Destination Services, where specialised shore excursions, port experience planning and tailored local activities await. 
• The Auditorium is where you’ll enjoy a host of exciting, educational and interactive events, like cooking demonstrations.
• Colours & Tastes Restaurant is one of Borealis’ two speciality restaurants. The carefully curated menu showcases authentic Asian fusion cuisine inspired by flavours from Japan, Thailand, China, and the Philippines. Borealis Restaurant is one of the two main dining restaurants onboard. It is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day. 

Public spaces:

• The Aurora Restaurant is another of Borealis’ main dining venues, offering a welcoming setting for breakfast, lunch and dinner with attentive table service. 
• A collection of stylish lounges and social spaces can also be found on this deck, including the Arctic Room, Indian Ocean Room, Earth Room, Botanical Room and Oriental Tea Room. They’re ideal for a relaxing drink, enjoying quiet conversation or taking a moment away from the busier areas of the ship. 
• The Bookmark Café is a cosy spot for a coffee and a light bite, perfect for a mid-morning break or an afternoon pick-me-up.
• For guests who enjoy cards and classic games, the Card Room offers a dedicated space to settle in and play. 
• The Piano Bar provides a relaxed atmosphere with live music, making it a lovely choice for a pre-dinner drink or a laid-back evening. The Morning Light Pub & Lounge offers a more casual, sociable setting - ideal for enjoying a drink in a traditional pub-style environment. The Ocean Bar is another popular venue for a drink, offering a comfortable space to unwind and enjoy the ship’s evening atmosphere. 
• Deck 5 is also home to a variety of onboard shopping, including the Shop, Boutique, Floral Blooms Shop and Sea Cove Shop, offering everything from gifts and essentials to cruise wear and souvenirs. 
• The Future Cruise Information deck is where guests can explore and plan their next Fred. Olsen cruise while onboard.

• The Atlantis Spa is a dedicated wellness space offering treatments and facilities designed to help you fully unwind while at sea. Pediluvio is a calming footbath area, designed to help you relax and refresh before or after treatments. 
• The View Buffet Restaurant is Borealis’ main casual dining venue, offering a wide variety of options throughout the day in a relaxed, self-serve setting. Fresco is an inviting outdoor space where you can enjoy the fresh air and ocean views in a more sheltered setting. 
• Convenient Tea & Coffee Stations are available for guests to help themselves to hot drinks throughout the day. 
• Vasco Restaurant is Borealis’ other speciality restaurant, offering a fresh, modern twist on Indian cuisine. Helmed by skilled Goan chefs, this vibrant venue celebrates India’s rich culinary heritage.
• The Swimming Pool is the centrepiece of the open deck area, perfect for a dip or simply relaxing poolside. The Jacuzzis offer a soothing spot to unwind, whether you’re warming up on a cooler day or enjoying the views as you sail. 
• The Poolside Café is ideal for quick, casual bites, perfect if you’re after something light without leaving the deck. The Lido Bar is the social hub of the pool deck, serving drinks throughout the day. It’s ideal for a refreshment between sunbathing and swimming. 
• The Fitness Centre boasts modern equipment and space to keep active during your cruise, whether you prefer cardio, strength training or a light workout. 

Public spaces:

• The Observatory is a light-filled lounge offering sweeping views from high above the ship - the perfect place to relax with a drink while taking in the scenery. 
• The Sports Courts provide space for friendly competition and outdoor activity, whether you’re enjoying a casual game or simply making the most of the fresh sea air. 
• The Olsen Art Studio is a creative space where guests can participate in art classes and workshops led by instructors, offering the chance to learn new skills or simply enjoy artistic downtime during your cruise.
