A detailed written tour of Emerald Sakara, explaining the public spaces and cabins available

Last month, my colleague Poppy and I were lucky enough to sail aboard Emerald Sakara for four nights. She was the second yacht to join the Emerald Yacht Cruises fleet, debuting in 2023 as an identical sister ship to Emerald Azzurra.

Small but perfectly formed, she was a very easy ship to navigate. With only six passenger decks, I got to know her within a few hours. Here, I thought it would be useful to detail each of her decks, explaining the public spaces and the cabins available:

Inside Emerald Sakara: A tour of Emerald Yacht Cruises’ stunning yacht

Deck 2 - Wellness Deck

Public spaces:

  • Elements Spa is home to two treatment rooms, which offer a range of rejuvenating treatments like full body massages and facials, a gym with Technogym equipment, an infrared sauna and a hairdresser's.
  • The garage houses two Zodiacs, tender boat, multiple mountain bikes, kayaks and paddleboards, as well as three seabobs.
  • The Marina Platform features a fold-out platform, equipment for watersports, like snorkelling gear, and even a barbecue in specific waters. It is also the embarkation area for some excursions, and a great spot for swimming.
  • There is also a Medical Centre and two lifts that scale the height of the ship.

Deck 3 - Emerald Deck

Pubic spaces:

  • Amici Bar & Lounge features a bar, tea and coffee-making facilities and plenty of comfortable seating.
  • The reception has a reception desk, usually staffed by two receptionists. It’s the place to go to book shore excursions, hire the ebikes or discuss any queries.
  • Next to the reception is Boutique Azzurra, which sells jewellery, accessories, clothes and souvenirs.
  • La Cucina Dining and Terrace is Emerald Sakara’s main dining restaurant. During breakfast and lunch, it operates a buffet service, and in the evening, it offers an à la carte menu. The terrace is positioned at the aft of the ship and offers lovely views.

Cabins:

  • There are six category D Oceanview Staterooms.

Deck 4 - Observation Deck

Public spaces:

  • Forward on Deck 4 is the Observation Lounge, which has comfortable seatingboard gamestea and coffee-making facilitiesbooks and a flat-screen television that displays a map. The lounge provides access to the Observation Terrace, which has comfortable seating.
  • There is a Self-Service Laundry room, which is open 24 hours a day.

Cabins:

Public spaces:

  • The Navigation Bridge, which operates an open-bridge policy, is the only public space on Deck 5.

Cabins:

  • There are 14 category A Balcony Suites and two category T Terrace Suites.

Deck 6 - Pool Deck

Public spaces:

  • At the aft of Deck 6 is the Aqua Pool, an infinity pool that is surrounded by comfortable seating. Adjacent to the Aqua Pool is the Aqua Café, which is Emerald Sakara’s second, more casual restaurant. The café is open daily, serving light bites, sweet treats and drinks.
