Reykjavik, Iceland
A two night 4★ hotel stay in Reykjavik gives you plenty of time to explore this incredible destination. The beauty of Iceland’s capital city is astounding. Surrounded by waterfalls, volcanoes and glaciers, you’ll experience nature in all its glory coupled with the history and culture of the city itself. Only a short distance from the city are some of Iceland’s most beautiful locations, including the nation’s ‛holy place’, Þingvellir, where the world’s oldest parliament was established in 930 AD. Further east is the renowned waterfall Gullfoss, ‛Golden Falls’, and the Geysir hot spring area
Sisimiut, Greenland
Sisimiut, a picturesque site with a remarkable history, has been inhabited for more than 4,500 years and is now home to around 5,500 native Greenlanders, making it the second largest town in the country. Hiking is one of the most popular activities in Sisimiut, especially during the summer, when trails take visitors into historic Inuit territory, where people have lived and hiked for thousands of years. But that’s not the only reason to take a hike in this Greenland town, the site is also known for its stunning views of the ocean and the Nasaasaaq mountain to the south
Cruising Prince Christian Sund
Prince Christian Sund, located nearly at the tip of the huge island, separates mainland Greenland with Sangmissoq and other islands of the Cape Farewell Archipelago. The sound itself is around 100km long and very narrow, sometimes only 500m wide. This long fjord system is surrounded by steep mountains, some more than 1,200m high. Enjoy the sight of glaciers calving icebergs straight into the ocean from the deck
