The home to provincial wine

A visit to Pinhao Train Station will lead you to a sea of blue and white. Created in 1937 the gorgeous blue and white tiles seen in the station hallways are Azulejo tiles and depict a selection of traditional Portuguese scenes, they are the perfect spot for a picture or two before jumping on the local train, it’s well worth a visit if you’re nearby.
Climb to the top of Portugal
A trip to Pinhao isn’t complete without a trek to the top of Double Viewpoint De Loivos. A hill situated on the outskirts of the town, a climb to the top of this impressive rise will give you the ultimate viewpoint over the valley below. Watch as river cruises sail past and gaze at the extensive grape fields lying beneath. The top of the hill is the ideal location for watching the sunset on a warm summers evening.
