No, Saga Cruises do not currently have a flexible cancellation policy. However, they do provide flexible cancellation cover should you need to cancel due to coronavirus medical conditions prior to your departure date. Please note this is only available if you add on Saga’s optional travel insurance
Yes, all Saga guests are required to be fully vaccinated using a COVID-19 vaccine approved by the UK Medical and Healthcare Regulatory Authority, and to have received a first booster dose at least 14 days before departure. If you are eligible for further booster doses, Saga encourage you to have them. Saga's crew are, similarly, all required to be fully vaccinated.
Saga have revised their covid protocols for sailings departing after the 19th of June:
Guests will now only require a negative lateral flow test (administered when guests arrive at the port). The use of face masks on board will no longer be mandatory for guests. Social distancing among guests and restrictions on table sizes will be lifted. Guests who come in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID will no longer be required to isolate; instead they will be tested and will only be required to isolate if they test positive themselves.

Smoking and vaping is permitted in the designated smoking area. On Spirit of Discovery and Spirit of Adventure this is the port side aft on Deck 11.
Not all cruises will have formal nights but generally you can expect 1 to 2 for every 7-nights spent on board. Saga Cruises believe it is impossible to overdress on formal nights. A long glamorous dress are perfect partners for an elegant champagne dinner and a tuxedo and box tie are the ultimate in sophistication.

Yes, you can pre-book shore excursions. Saga Cruises will send you excursion information around 6-8 weeks before departure.
Gratuities and service charges are included in the price of your Saga cruise so you do not need to budget for tips once on board.
If you live within 75 miles of the port, SAGA include a private chauffeur. If you live within 250 miles of the port, (increasing to 300 miles for cruises departing from 1st January 2024), a shared chauffeur service is included. If you live further away, you can buy extra miles, they cost £2.50 per mile. If you'd prefer to have the vehicle to yourself you can upgrade to a private car for £3.70 per mile.
