Can I access the internet while onboard a P&O cruise ship?

Yes, every ship in the P&O Cruises fleet is Wi-Fi enabled so you can access the internet during your time onboard via your devices or the ship's PC terminals. Satellite internet packages are available to purchase prior to sailing or once onboard. Pay As You Go is available to purchase once onboard. There are three Wi-Fi packages to choose from; The Connect Package, The Browse Package and The Works. The Connect Package enables you to stay in touch with family and friends. It is £6.75 per 24 hours with a full Cruise Plan or £7.75 for a single 24-hour period. The Browse Package allows you to browse as you normally would (except for video streaming), plus email and social networks. It is £10 per 24 hours with a full Cruise Plan or £12.50 for a single 24-hour period. The Works Package enables you to stream YouTube, Spotify and Apple Music, video call, browse, email and share via social networks. It is £20 per 24 hours with a full Cruise Plan or £24.95 for a single 24-hour period.

Can I take alcohol onboard a P&O Cruise ship?

With the exception of one bottle of wine, champagne, beer or spirit (no larger than 1000ml) at embarkation, guests cannot take alcohol on their P&O Cruises cruise. Should guests consume their bottle of wine, champagne, beer or spirit in a public area, they will be subject to a corkage fee.

Do P&O Cruises cater to allergies, intolerances or specific diets?

All ships in the P&O Cruises fleet cater to the following diets; vegetarian, pescetarian fish, low/no fat, low/no salt, lactose intolerant/dairy free, gluten/wheat-free/coeliac, low cholesterol, diabetic, kosher and vegan. Should you require any of these diets or if you have any food allergies/intolerances, please call us before sailing so we can notify the relevant people at P&O Cruises.

Do I need to pay for gratuities with P&O Cruises?

Gratuities are included in the price of a P&O Cruises holiday meaning tipping isn’t required onboard.

Is room service available onboard a P&O cruise ship?

Yes, room service is available 24 hours a day.

What currency is used onboard a P&O Cruise?

The currency used onboard is Pound Sterling.

What is the dress code onboard a P&O Cruise?

During the day you can wear whatever you like. There are two dress codes: Evening Casual and Black Tie. Evening Casual is stylish resort or leisurewear. For example, casual separates or dresses for ladies and open-neck polo shirts and casual long trousers (not shorts or ¾ length trousers) for men. A jacket and smart trousers can be worn but are not compulsory. T-shirts are also acceptable but should not have any offensive symbols or language on them. Smart dark denim is also fine but not trainers, football shirts or tracksuits. Black Tie is glamorous evening wear such as cocktail dresses, ball gowns or even smart trouser suits for ladies and dinner jackets or tuxedos for men (dark lounge or business suits can be worn as an alternative).

When can I book shore excursions with P&O Cruises?

Shore excursions can be booked approximately 12 weeks prior to departure. Excursions are available to pre-book and pay for online up to 3 days before sailing. Within 2 days of sailing, you will be able to join a waitlist for your chosen excursions. Alternatively, you may book on board. Waitlist requests are processed before onboard bookings.

Are drinks packages available with P&O Cruises?

Yes, P&O Cruises offers four drinks packages to help you tailor your cruise to your needs.

The options include:

  • The Ultimate Drinks Package (£60.50 per person per day)*
  • The Classic Drinks Package (£48.85 per person per day)*
  • The Alcohol-free Drinks Package (£26.95 per person per day)*
  • The Refresh Drinks Package (£14.45 per person per day)*

Each package is available on cruises of 5 nights or more, and it can be used in all the restaurants, bars, and cafés onboard.

Offer is not applicable to Inside cabins on cruises under 7 nights, Inside cabins on World Cruises, Classic Southern Hemisphere Journeys and Exotic fly-cruises, Early Savers or other promotional prices. It cannot be exchanged for a cash alternative. P&O Cruises reserve the right to withdraw this offer in whole or on individual cruises at any time.

Low deposit is applicable to sailings outside the balance due date, for new bookings only made between 13th May until 8pm 20th August 2025, on applicable departures from 14th August 2025 to 27th March 2027. From 1st July 2025, new summer 2027 collection cruises departing between 19th March 2027 and 23rd October 2027 will also be included in this offer.
