★Your Voyage Highlights★

The adventurer inside you will alight with excitement as Boudicca sets off for four corners of the high Atlantic – Norway, Svalbard, Iceland and Greenland. Specially timed to capture seasonal highlights and natural phenomena, we hope that you will get the chance to see the last of the Midnight Sun and the start of the Northern Lights. Discover some highlights of this unmissable adventure...

Midnight Sun

The Midnight Sun is an incredible natural phenomenon that occurs when you are above the Arctic Circle during the summer months. For 24 hours, the sun remains above the horizon, bathing the area in light at all hours. To be awake at midnight, and yet see the sun cast an otherworldly glow over the sea makes for a special experience you will not soon forget.

Northern Lights

The Midnight Sun is an incredible natural phenomenon that occurs when you are above the Arctic Circle during the summer months. For 24 hours, the sun remains above the horizon, bathing the area in light at all hours. To be awake at midnight, and yet see the sun cast an otherworldly glow over the sea makes for a special experience you will not soon forget.

Greenland - The World's Largest Island

The weaving, icy waterways of Greenland’s Prins Christiansund are the perfect scenic route to the rugged south coast and Narsarsuaq and Nanortalik. From Narsarsuaq, you’ll be able to discover the icebergs on the majestic Qooroq Ice Fjord. While just outside the town is Signal Hill, which offers panoramic views of the fjord and the icebergs occasionally seen floating past. Nanortalik will be the perfect place to experience the remote living of the Greenlandic community. Cruising the Tunulliarfik Fjord and Tasermiut Fjord will also make for some memorable scenic cruising.

Svalbard - A Natural Wonderland

Longyearbyen, situated at 78° north, is widely regarded as the world’s northernmost town. It is also the largest settlement in Svalbard, home to some 2,000 inhabitants, several reindeer and arctic fox too. The town was only established as a permanent settlement in 1906 to exploit local coal reserves and is named after American mining specialist, John M. Longyear. The Svalbard Museum provides insights into the life of miners. Following your departure, you’ll experience some remarkable scenic cruising too including along Tempelfjorden – a fjord named after the mountain Templet, which resembles a temple – and by the Tuna Glacier.

Norway - Renowned Fjords, Tumbling Waterfalls & Picturesque Villages

Spending just under a week in Norway, you’ll get to explore astonishing, untouched landscapes. You’ll also journey along some of the world’s most magnificent waterways, passing through Nærøysundet and by Torghatten and the incredible Seven Sisters mountain range. With anticipation building, you’ll cross the line into the famed Arctic Circle before docking in Tromsø. Known as the ‘Gateway to the Arctic’. Honningsvåg, allows visits to the Nordkapp (North Cape), Europe’s most northernmost point and will bring an end to your time in Norway but not before cruising by the North Cape and The Horn.

Iceland - The Land Of Fire & Ice

Reykjavík makes for a fantastic start to your time in Iceland. It is within easy reach of the iconic Golden Circle Trail, which includes the Blue Lagoon Spa, the Thingvellir National Park, the renowned Gullfoss Waterfall and the incredible Geysir hot springs. The next leg of your Icelandic adventure is the town of Ísafjörður – which isn’t visited by larger cruise ships. It’s ideally placed for you to discover the spectacular landscape of Vigur, home to thousands of arctic terns, eider ducks, black guillemots and more. You’ll then head north to Akureyri, with its lush vegetation and diverse wildlife – which includes humpback whales, minke whales, white-beaked dolphins and porpoises. This is a place you’ll never forget.
