Star Flyer is a 360-foot four-mast rigged vessel with 16 sails and weighs 2,298 tonnes. The ship is fitted with a state-of-the-art navigation system, however, she uses her sails whenever possible, providing passengers with a wind-powered experience reminiscent of voyaging in a sailing boat from a bygone era. With a crew of 74, a maximum capacity of 170 passengers and generous space on board, you can rest assured that you’ll receive exceptional service and have plenty of room to relax and enjoy your voyage.
On Board Experience
Accommodation
At the end of a memorable day, you can relax in your decadent cabin. There are 7 grades of accommodation including one Owner’s Suite. All of the staterooms have polished wood-trimmed cabinetry, wall-to-wall carpeting and are fitted with marble bathrooms creating a welcoming, luxurious ambience. A whirlpool bathtub is fitted in the Owner’s Suite and Category 1 cabins.
Dining
Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast, lunch and five-course dinner served in the elegant dining room where friendly, welcoming staff create a warm and relaxed atmosphere. During cocktail hour, the Tropical Bar offers the perfect opportunity to enjoy some appetising canapes on deck and for those who like to stay up late, snacks are available in the Piano Bar until 1 am.
Entertainment
On board, choose between relaxing in the Piano Bar and lounge as you enjoy the musical entertainment, swim in one of the three on board pools or try a spot of dancing in the Tropical Bar. Enjoy watersports such as scuba diving, water skiing and snorkelling or for something less energetic, sink into a plush velvet seat in the Observation Lounge or library with its elegant Edwardian decor. When the ship is in port, choose to join one of the many memorable excursions. There’s also the unique opportunity to climb the ship’s main mast, help with the ropes and sails and even lie back and relax in the netting at the front of the ship’s bow.
There is an activity for everyone on board Star Flyer; enjoy a leisurely swim in one of the ship’s swimming pools, join the morning on board exercise classes or partake in a variety of exciting watersports. The choice is yours!
