Supporting the NHS

Here at ROL Cruise, we are aiming to raise £100,000 to show our appreciation to the NHS who are working tirelessly to save lives. For every booking made with us we will be donating £25 to the NHS Charities National campaign that acknowledges and supports NHS staff, volunteers and patients. We're delighted to have raised over £40,000 so far. To find out how much we have raised, please click here.

Apps to help you through self-isolation

Across the world, millions are practising self-isolation. Though much remains uncertain, we do know that staying home is the best thing we can do. While daily routines may have been disrupted, there’s plenty to keep you occupied digitally. Here are our recommended apps to help you through self-isolation:

Entertainment

Amazon Prime Video

Bored of flicking through the same television channels? Amazon Prime Video offers over 20,000 films and television shows with something for everyone including Amazon Originals like The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and Hunters. You can download videos from Amazon Prime Video to your phone or tablet to watch offline anywhere and anytime. Though the application is free, you will need to subscribe to Prime Video in order to access the plethora of films and tv programmes.

Netflix

Much like Amazon Prime Video, Netflix offers a vast range of films and television shows from around the world. Choose from award-winning series, movies, documentaries and stand-up specials, browse new titles or search for your favourites and download all of them straight to your device. What’s more, if you haven’t used Netflix before you’ll be eligible for a free trial.

Spotify

Spotify is the best way to listen to music and podcasts on mobile or tablet. There are thousands and thousands of songs, artists, albums, playlists and podcasts ready and waiting to be listened to for free. And you can get inspired with personal recommendations and readymade playlists for just about any mood or situation. Podcasts are a wonderful way to learn new things while playlists designed for concentration are great for background noise if you’re working from home.

YouTube

Name a topic and YouTube has covered it. Whether you want to watch, listen or stream there is so much content, music, news and more available on the YouTube app. Subscribe to channels with your favourite content so you can go back and watch videos at any time, share them with friends or upload your very own for everyone to see. YouTube is both free to sign up to and free to download, so what are you waiting for? A world of content is waiting at your fingertips.

Uber Eats

Can’t be bothered to cook? Order restaurant food easily with the Uber Eats app. You can browse nearby restaurants and search for food by cuisine, restaurant name, dish or meal and order dinner with just a few simple taps.
